Hand made in Britain, EMS barrier mats are simple yet effective, and are robust enough to be specified with confidence in the most challenging of environments.
Based on a tough rigid Aluminium base panel, the diversity of the range is achieved by the use of a wide range of textile and rubber inserts, with the addition of optional coloured PVC scraper bars that clip onto the Aluminium base. As well as providing the opportunity to link the entrance matting to the surrounding décor, these coloured scrapers can also be used to form contrast, for the benefit of visually impaired people, in line with the Disability Discrimation Act.
Unique to EMS is LU DC matting and LU Multi-Track matting which have both been designed and manufactured specifically for London Underground Ltd and comply with the Section Twelve Regulations. These feature a drainable Aluminium base profile and fire resistant and low smoke emission rubber inserts. With Multi-Track, these inserts are multi-directional for increased slip-resistance.
